Day 8

21 Day Focus

One-fifth of the world’s disabled, over 83 million, live in this country. Living largely invisible lives, they face challenges prevalent in many societies: stigmatization and lack of accommodation. Many disabled people spend their lives in orphanages and other institutions. While gender was a frequent factor in child abandonment in the past, now as many as 98% of the overall population are literate, less that 60% of the disabled are. The marginalization of disabled people presents a significant challenge to their access to the Gospel. Pray that:

1) Children and adults who are marginalized in society will hear the Good News. Pray for orphaned and abandoned children and those who serve them.

2) The deaf will have access to the Gospel and for a team of people that will go and actively strive to reach this population.

3) God would stir the hearts of believers all across this country to evangelize and disciple the disabled and marginalized.
