21 Day Focus
The T* People are comprised of over 2 million souls residing primarily in the far Western reaches of Northern Asia. The warrior king who unified this people in 600 AD combined their ancient religious traditions (a mixture of magic, divination, demon worship and sacrifices) with Buddhist practices. The resultant Buddhism has bound generations of T souls in an all-consuming spirituality of darkness. In 1892 Hudson Taylor said, “To make converts in [this geographical area*] is similar to going into a cave and trying to rob a lioness of her cubs.” There are historical accounts
referring to Christians in T* before 1000 AD, but today only one or two small T fellowships exist. Over 2 million souls with only one or two small fellowships!
Bible and Bible portions exist in the T* language. Christian audio, video (such as the Jesus film) and printed materials, as well as some ethnic worship music, are also available. However, the bondage of this form of Buddhism is pervasive, and messengers wanting to present the gospel to T* people face obstacles unlike any other unreached people group due to the sociopolitical, spiritual, and cultural climate. Only the Spirit of the Living God can bring breakthrough for this unreached people. Pray that:
1) Spirit empowered workers from all nations would be called to live a Gospel witness among the T people.
2) Doors that no man can shut would be opened for those called to serve the T people.
3) Those living in darkness would see a great light and those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light will dawn.
*The letter T is substituted for the name of this people group, language and geographical area due to security risks.
