14 Day Focus
Millions of Animists live in Northern Asia’s remote regions. They believe that spirits live in nature, especially in large mountains and waterfalls. Many follow the directions of a village shaman, attempting to appease the spirits that haunt them.
Pray for:
1) the Word of God be made available to these animistic, mountainous people groups, breaking the chains of superstition that bind them.
2) the Holy Spirit will provide unconventional routes into remote villages, allowing strong redemptive relationships with these people groups.
“Half of it he burns in the fire; over this half he eats meat, he roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He also warms himself and says, ‘Aha! I am warm. I have seen the fire.’ Yet the rest of it he makes into a god, his carved image. He bows down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, ‘ Save me, for you are my god.’”
